With the aim to improve the well-being of our society through impactful initiatives. CEPCO has also made a contribution towards the "Tabung Kasih" of Kolej Dar Al Hikmah on 28 April 2022 for sponsoring the education of the orphans at the college.
In view of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, during the various stages of the vaccination programme, CEPCO have collaborate with the Pasir Gudang Community, NGOs and Klinik Kesihatan Masai, Johor to provide vaccines to the local community on 16 September 2021 and 7 October 2021.

During Ramadhan month, Cepco together with few NGOs prepare wholesome Bubur Lambuk to be shared with the community in need.
Throughout the year, CEPCO contribution on the Covid-19 prevention programme towards our responsibility to the society in Malaysia have been recognised and awarded by the National Consumer Action Council.
In view of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, during the various stages of the MCO period, lunch box provided to every employee to discourage eating-out to mitigate exposure to COVID-19 within workplace and in hope to contribute to our national effort to break the chain of COVID-19 in the community.
Given the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were unable to carry out our normal corporate social responsibilities during the various stages of the MCO period. CEPCO provided financial aids to our foreign workers who are stranded in Malaysia due to MCO as a token of appreciation for their previous hard work for the Company.
CEPCO had collaborated with Kechara Soup Kitchen by taking part in "Hunger Knows No Barriers" program to feed 750 number of homeless and urban poor around Kuala Lumpur city centre. Eight members of our staff volunteered to distribute the foods in areas of Chow Kit and Petaling Street.
In March 2019, CEPCO was involved in the clean-up exercise in the area affected by the recent toxic chemical waste pollution in Pasir Gudang, Johor. The exercise was done in conjunction with Badan Bertindak Penduduk Isu Pencemaran Alam (BBPIPA), an NGO under Johor state government. The Company also distributed UHT fresh milk to employees in Pasir Gudang factory with the aim of providing welfare and promoting health within the organization.
In October 2018, CEPCO made a donation to the Bald & Beautiful 3. 0 event organized by Khind Starfish Foundation with the aim to promote cancer awareness, raise funds to support the vital services provided and for research on the best available treatments to help cancer patients. The funds would be channeled to support Cancer Research Malaysia, Sarawak Children's Cancer Society and Kuching Life Care Society.
In September 2018, we made a donation to the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia to show our support and appreciation for their efforts in providing dialysis treatments to the needy Malaysians suffering from end stage kidney failures.
We also made monetary contribution to Montfort Boys Town, a learning institution dedicated in helping underprivileged youths by providing practical vocational training to equip them with the right skills and guiding them in recognising their talents.
At workplaces, we encourage good social interactions among employees by organising various sports and recreational activities programs. During the financial year 2018, CEPCO headquarters staff organised a bowling competition at Ampang Superbowl.
In July 2017, our CSR team visited the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal ("SPCA"), Selangor, and were briefed on the roles, functions and activities of the SPCA, which is a well-respected non-profit organisation. SPCA not only assists in the prevention of cruelty to animals, but also in rehabilitation and finding new homes for those which are maltreated and unwanted. During our visit, we made a cash donation of RM20,000 towards the SPCA fund.
Playing our part towards noise environment control, we have completed the construction of a sound barrier wall at Rawang factory to comply with the noise regulations and mitigate against disturbances and unpleasant surroundings towards the community by our machinery activities.
